    Phil_Jerrod.jpegPhil Jerrod

Phil began his stand-up career underneath an Angus Steakhouse in 2012. Since then he has failed his PhD, walked out of his job in publishing and been entertaining audiences up and down the country with his elegant rants on the often unfathomable problems of modern life.

His innovative stream-of-consciousness style, inspired by a harsh upbringing in the cruel and unforgiving conditions of middle-class rural Warwickshire, has seen him perform in clubs, arts centres and theatres all across the UK and helped build his reputation as having grown one of the largest beards in stand-up comedy.

He has recently been nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award 2014, and in 2013 was a semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny New Act of the Year Competition and a quarter finalist in the Amused Moose Laugh Off.

    Tom_Mayhew.jpgTOM MAYHEW : Fragile Fragments

Sad, lonely comedian Tom Mayhew (Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year nominee, 2017) brings his debut collection of self-deprecating jokes to the Tringe Aperitif . Fragile Fragments brings together stories involving awkwardness, insecurity, anxiety, depression and heartbreak. You know, all those ol' comedy staples that we know and love.

‘Tom Mayhew has funny bones inside his body. He has what it takes to go a long way’ (Paul Foot).

    ‘Endearingly humble... enjoyably surreal’ (Chortle.co.uk).

The award-winning comedian Alasdair Beckett-King is legendary, in that there is little historical evidence he exists. But he does exist. His debut solo show opens a cabinet of curiosities, tackling the conundrums of impending extinction, archaic axioms, emotional repression and vegan flimflam. Come and see it, please.

Winner Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2017.

    “One to Watch” (Time Out)
“A bold and fresh comedy voice” (The Stage)
"Delicious writing and exceptional observations" (Chortle)
“Clever and quirky without ever being inaccessible” (Beyond the Joke)

As heard on BBC Radio 4 Extra.
