An award winning comedian, the star and co-creator (alongside Tim Key and Mark Watson) of two series of BBC Four’s comedy quiz show We Need Answers, Alex Horne has established a reputation among critics, comics and audiences as a thoughtful and original stand-up comedian and writer.
To date, Alex has brought seven solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2011 Alex returned with his solo stand-up show Seven Years In The Bathroom which has subsequently become a highly successful national UK tour.
Alex Horne is the creator and host of The Horne Section. Together, Alex and his five piece band create a heady mix of stand up comedy, cabaret performances and live music with special guests such as Neil Hannon, Tim Minchin, Peter Serafinowicz and David O’ Doherty. The Horne Section has had sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival in both 2010 and 2011. The success of a BBC Radio 4 one-off special led to two full series broadcast in spring 2012 and 2013 and in Autumn 2012, the band accompanied Alex as a guest host on Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Alex’s numerous TV appearances include The Matt Lucas Awards, Dara O'Briain's School of Hard Sums, Celebrity Mastermind and The Games That Time Forgot, a documentary written and presented by Alex for BBC Four. He has also performed stand-up on Dave's One Night Stand.

Mark has been performing stand-up regularly since 2008 and has rapidly established himself as one of the most interesting and exciting new comics on the circuit. Since reaching the final of ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ in 2009, Mark has gigged all over the UK, is a regular MC and has broken into television to present for MTV2, to write and perform for ‘Dick and Dom’s Funny Business’ on BBC Two, and appeared on BBC Three’s Russell Howard’s Good News. Mark is also one half of hotly tipped double act ‘Dregs’ alongside Max Dickins. Together they perform a podcast, available every two weeks on iTunes.
