Here's another one of our amazing annual comedy gigs in the lovely setting of the Cow Roast club house.
A brilliant line up is hosted by the definitive Grumpy Old Man (so he should be at home at Berko Hockey Club) and stand up legend, Mr Arthur Smith. Joining him for the night are two of the finest acts on the comedy circuit, Bobby Mair and Luca Cupani.
Our final act is a wonderful new name to comedy, following her performances at the Edinburgh Festival and her recent supporting Tom Stade, we welcome Marianne Ponsonby-White to our little club night.
Arthur Smith
Arthur has a consistently brilliant talent and ability to provide light entertainment whilst also still finding new and interesting ways to make people laugh.
It is no surprise, therefore, that he remains a sought after artist by Comedy Clubs, Theatres, Festivals and Private Events and is regularly seen and heard on Television and Radio.
“Smith stands out among his generation for a willingness to keep pushing himself and experimenting with the new forms of comedic expression… Today’s hottest young comics still see him as an inspiration.” – Guardian
Luca Cupani
In 2014 he moved from Italy to London, where he discovered the world of stand-up comedy and fell in love with it.
His first ever gig was in February 2014 at the Gong Show of the London Comedy Store (known as “London’s most brutal open-mic night”) and surprisingly he won it. In 2015 he also won the competition So You Think You’re Funny? at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Luca appeared at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and has taken part in the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions.
Bobby Mair
Since moving to the UK, he has established himself as a stand out headliner with many TV appearances, including Roast Battle (Comedy Central), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three).
He was also the host of the reality horror show, Killer Camp (ITV2), and starred in the reality sitcom, Bobby and Harriet: Get Married (Vice).
